Over time it is not unusual for your much–loved jewelry to show some wear and tear. Wedding sets worn daily can show signs of worn down or bent prongs. Left unattended, these can result in the loss of a beautiful diamond or other precious stone. Keeping your fine jewelry clean and in good repair is important to maintaining its value. Reimer Jewelers recommends routine cleaning by our jewelers as well as assessments of the jewelry to ensure that stones are not loose, links are not broken, or prongs are not worn or bent. Frequent restringing of well–loved pearl necklaces will ensure that the strands do not break, and pearls are not lost. A loved watch should keep precise time for years, if well maintained.

Laser Welder

The laser welder at Reimer Jewelers allows our goldsmiths to perform delicate and intricate repairs to fine jewelry such as gold chains, eyeglasses, watches, and more. It can be used to re-tip platinum or gold prong settings, repair bezel settings, repair/resize rings and bracelets without removing stones. The laser welder can also correct manufacturing defects.

Ring Sizing

Having your rings comfortably fit and sized for your fingers is important. Rings should not be too loose, with a risk of losing them, nor too tight making them uncomfortable, or unable to be removed. Ring sizes can change over the years either do to arthritis in your hands, weight gain or loss or for other reasons. The goldsmiths at Reimer Jewelers are gifted craftspeople that are sure to adjust your ring size to comfortably fit your fingers at any time in your life. The first sizing for new purchases of engagement, wedding sets or color stone rings is free of charge. Future sizing and adjustments are priced depending upon the required work needed.
